I wanted to tell everyone I met about it. Scream it from the roof tops.
It meant growth - Bendigo evolving to be more accepting and loving to all.
I don’t publicise my sexuality or relationships so this gave me the opportunity to introduce my friends to the community I belong in and feel comfortable being myself.
My husband and I took our two young daughters ... it's really important to us that our children are raised knowing that everyone belongs. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
Sometimes it is exhausting being a queer person in the country, constantly searching for people like you, for a community.
Q+ was inclusive and accessible, vibrant and relaxed. I finally felt like I could breathe and be joyous.
I loved the vibe and how many diverse people there were at the event.
It was good to introduce my kids to some beautiful culture & entertainment without having to leave our home town.
I loved seeing so many children - how amazing for the next generation to grow up believing that this is just a way of life
Fantastic, fun, inclusive and great to see young LGBTIAQ+ people out and proud!
